What is a CryoSauna?

A popular alternative to ice baths, our CryoSauna is a luxury machine that evenly reduces body temperature over the course of one to three minutes. Many clients, especially athletes, favor the nitrogen-cooled CryoSauna as its extremely low temperature (up to -140°C) is especially advantageous for pain relief and muscle recovery. From the first session, marked improvements in skin appearance, achiness and stamina are enjoyed. Boosted mood and better quality of sleep typically accompany a cryogenic treatment.

What are the benefits of a CryoSauna?

Cryotherapy, also known as cold therapy, is an evidence-based treatment that safely reduces body temperature while increasing endorphins, adrenaline and oxygen supply. The benefits of regular cryotherapy are numerous and broad-ranging, including but not limited to:

How does the CryoSauna work?

You will be asked to disrobe (undergarments remain on). All body jewelry must be removed and no metals will be exposed on the body. Additionally, excess moisture (sweat, body oil, moisturizers) must be toweled off and no wounds left exposed. Once your full-body check is complete, you will be supplied with a Cryo Kit containing clothing essentials for your Cryo Experience. These include a face mask and ear muffs or hat (Electric Sauna only) in addition to mittens, long socks, and booties. The items in the Cryo Kit protect your extremities and otherwise vulnerable areas in order to maximize the benefits and optimize your enjoyment of Cryotherapy.Once your cryo clothing essentials are on, your Cryotherapy Technician will guide you through what to expect during your Cryo Experience. Following this briefing, you will be recommended a time frame and temperature range for your Cryo Experience (from 1 to 3 minutes of cold therapy). Once this is decided, your Cryotherapy Technician will have you enter the Sauna for a blissful therapeutic experience.

How do I prepare for my CryoSauna experience?

During your Cryotherapy Experience, your body slowly and safely reduces its temperature. As it adapts to cold therapy, you will receive three times more oxygen and blood drawn to your core. You may want to move to keep warm; gentle movement is acceptable but strenuous activity is not recommended. As oxygen and blood is drawn to the core to protect the body’s vital organs, your circulation and metabolism is increased in addition to a number of other health-benefiting physiological changes.

What happens during my Cryo experience?

Upon exiting the cryotherapy sauna, your body will take between 5-15 minutes to readjust and revert back to its normal temperature. During this time, newly invigorated blood will flow back into the arms and legs, causing veins to dilate and improve overall circulation. As you warm up from cold therapy, it is normal for the skin to appear red and/or for a tingling sensation to occur throughout the body. You are encouraged to move around and re-dress in order for your body to regain its normal temperature and fully experience the range of benefits cryotherapy offers.

How many sessions are recommended?

For consistent pain relief, skin enhancement and improved mood, a minimum of 10 sessions is recommended.

WHAT DOES A CRYO SESSION ENTAIL?

You'll undress to your level of comfort and put on your cryo-safe garb a nice, fluffy robe, booties, thermal socks, and gloves.

Before the session, the tech will pre-cool the cryosauna. you enter the machine, close the door, and let you (modestly!) disrobe.Once complete, they'll help

The Main Event

As the session begins, you'll feel the cold, dry, nitrogen vapor surrounding you. Your tech will be there the entire 3-minutes to talk you through the pro cess. You'll rotate, dance, wiggle.. anything to keep your mind off the chill
